Pizza is the perfect food. Carbs, veggies, cheese, meat. Even if it is too bad about all those pesky grams of fat in the crust, Papa John's is a good source for this simple, fast food Staff of Life. At least one of the nearly 4,000 world franchises is probably close, no matter where you are. Fat crusts, deep cheeses and generous toppings. The end. (-: John Schnatter, the founder, has a condo in Bay Colony, Naples, so I asked the local manager what it felt like when the big boss rings up for a pie. He said he's got his phone's ID programmed with something like, "No sh**, this is Big John calling." And it's the kids in the house who show up at the door to get the box, just like every other house out on the delivery route. Here's more reasons that I'm a Papa John's fan. His was the first chain to begin online ordering, and his Corporate hqs has a fiber optic feed from each franchise to let them stay ahead of trending demand. Plus he turns law suits like the ones in the past with Pizza Hut over false advertising re "fresh ingredients," or with John LeBron, after distributing Papa John t-shirts at ball games during the athlete's paternitiy woes, into mega advertsing campaigns with Papa John as the ultimate beneficiary. WooHoo, corporate Gladiator, King of the Basic Food Group we call Pizza.

Staying at the Hyatt Coconut Point with family and wanted to get pizza for the kids. Front desk recommended this location so I ordered (the kids have it at home, so great thing!). Wrong!! Never even got to order! Asked if they deliver to the resort, got cut off for my phone number. Gave my number, young man misunderstood so I repeated the last six digits - only to hear an "F-bomb" and then get hung up on. Seriously?! Already notified concierge and front desk here- THAT is definitely not the way to treat ANY customer; especially loyal ones with many options!!!! This only got one star because ZERO is not an option on Yelp! Papa Johns - less commercials, more training on customer service!

Pizza was great, the guy working, Blake(Said on the box) was super polite. We would go back if we weren't from Texas ;)

After an hour of waiting for delivery the driver was unbelievably rude, instead of apologizing he yelled at us. Pizza was luke warm and it was a Thursday night. Worst papa johns experience, I am normally a fan of their pizza and service but this was ridiculous. He was loud and rude and it was undeserved.

Finally, after a bad experience EVERY TIME we order from this Papa Johns, my husband has conceded and will not force me to get their pizza anymore! Our order is always late at least by 30 minutes, whether it's pick up or delivery, it's frequently wrong or looks inedible when we get it and January 1, 2015 was the final straw! I used my Papa Johns app and received an email that our pizza would be ready in 15-25 minutes. My husband and I got there in 20 minutes and when I asked for our pizza, the girl told me that it would be another 25 minutes! When I told her that's not what my email indicated, she told me that they are not connected with the same system as the app so the times will always be wrong. Wow! That makes sense! While we waited (it took a total of 50 minutes for our pizza to be ready), the cashier was taking payments of cash and credit from the other customers that waited and then would leave the register and immediately walk over and start making pizza WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS!!! Gross! The manager, Travis, and another employee disappeared to the back for about 15 minutes and left the cashier and another employee to handle all the orders. I did not catch his name, but the young man handling all the pizzas coming out of the oven was working his tail off! That's the only positive thing I have to say about any of my experiences at this Papa Johns! THANK GOD MY HUSBAND WAS SO GROSSED OUT BY THE CASHIER TOUCHING THE FOOD WITH DIRTY HANDS THAT I NEVER HAVE TO GO THERE TO ORDER PIZZA FOR HIM AGAIN!!!

We normally like Papa John's pizza, but not this time. Although, we should have been wary of a pizza place attached to a gas station - clue number one. I gave them 1 star, but I would have liked to give none. My husband called to order a medium pizza for pickup. The guy on the phone was unintelligible and rude as heck. That should have been our second clue, but we were hungry. We were told 1/2 hour (Thursday night in off-season - umm, believe me, they weren't busy!) and $13 (!) for a medium pizza, thin crust, sausage and mushroom? My husband picked it up exactly at the time they said it would be ready and it was horrible - cold, crust almost burnt, didn't taste fresh - and on top of it, the people in the store were rude, too! No hello or even just a thank you. UGH! What a bad experience. Will not be ordering pizza from Papa John's again. Maybe when John Schnatter is staying in Naples, he should be an "Undercover Boss" and check out this store.

Total disappointment! We're originally from Ohio & Papa John's is my daughter's favorite there. She was excited to find out we had one that delivers to us here. Unfortunately, tonight was our first & last time ordering from them. We ordered at 5:00pm & were promised delivery in 40 minutes. After an hour & 5 minutes I called & was told the driver came back with our pizza because he couldn't find our address. I asked why he didn't call & was told he tried (he didn't). Then the driver got on the phone & told me he drove around my community looking for my address. I live in a gated community & the gate never had anyone from Papa John's come through. Ok, so if you messed up just say you messed up! Don't keep adding lies to try to cover! So, after explaining where I live the driver said he'd bring the pizza back. I inquired about the pizza being cold after this amount of time & they said they'd make a fresh pizza. 2 hours after our original order time a pizza finally arrived at our door. They didn't discount the price at all! I was so mad & my daughter was so hungry by then I just paid it. When we opened the box not only was the pizza order wrong but it looked like someone had dropped it upside down & yes, you guessed it, it was cold! They had not made a fresh pizza! They delivered us a pizza that had been made 2 hours earlier! And it had toppings that my daughter wouldn't even eat! The only reason I gave one star is because you have to! There should be an option of "no stars"

I see from the previous reviews that I'm not the only one to experience exceptionally bad service from this location. Like others, we waited almost an hour for our pizza. After several calls we figured out they sent it to the wrong house. Accidents happen. However, when we called to complain they were super rude. We ask for the manager and after explaining the issue to him he hung up on us! I couldn't believe it. They have decent pizza but not good enough to overcome the trouble and attitude.

Ordered large pizza, and asked them twice to make the crust crispy, and well done. Instead it was hardly cooked and rubbery. Waste of $20.00. Back to Dominoes I go!!! So much better quality everything there. And they actually listen to customers.

Okay, we were curious. I have not been to Pizza Hut in probably over ten years and now that Papa John's seems to be in a continuing battle to the top we gave in to see what it is all about. The bottom line for me is I am not sure what position in the pizza pyramid these places are battling for. My advice is to go for the independent shops that have the magic only a personal touch can make.

You can't beat Papa John's for the price really. Their pizza is consistently good and their crust is amazing IMO.
